The Bolivian Forest Research Institute

The IBIF is a for-profit organization created on October 31, 2002. It was created with the objective of coordinating, organizing and strengthening the national network of permanent forest plots. After 17 years of work it continues to carry out the task for which it was created and has expanded its network of allies, its capacities and skills to generate and disseminate knowledge, abilities and tools for the management and integral use of forests in different ecosystems of the country. IBIF is a nationally and internationally recognized organization in terms of its knowledge of forests, its research on forest management, and the sustainable management models it proposes and tests together with various actors related to forest management in the country.
