En el municipio de Ascensión de Guarayos, en el salón de la Asociación de Ganaderos de Guarayos, este 30 de octubre se llevó a cabo el Taller “Camino hacia alianzas para los negocios inclusivos en el sector forestal” organizado por el Instituto Boliviano de Investigación Forestal (IBIF) y la Asociación Forestal Indígena de Guarayos (AFIG).
Este evento se caracterizó por contar con la presencia de los diferentes actores que integran la cadena productiva de la madera, como ser, las organizaciones forestales comunitarias (OFC) de la TCO Guarayos, la Asociación Forestal Indígena de Lomerío (AFIL), organizaciones indígenas de Santa Cruz y norte de La Paz como la CIDOB, COPNAG, CICOL, CICC, CIPTA, agentes auxiliares, y el sector privado, representado principalmente por la Asociación de Artesanos Carpinteros de Santa Cruz y la empresa SOBOLMA Ltda.
También se contó con representantes de entidades del gobierno, como ser el Director Departamental de la Autoridad de Fiscalización y Control Social de Bosques y Tierra “ABT”, responsable de la UOBT- Guarayos, y Jefe de la Unidad de Conservación y Biodiversidad de la Dirección General de Gestión y Desarrollo Forestal (DGGDF – Vice ministerio de Medio Ambiente).
El taller fue impartido por Charlotte Benneker, Consultora de Tropenbos Internacional; con el apoyo de Marlene Soriano y Olga Cabrera, Directora del Programa y Consultora de IBIF.
Itinerario de la actividad
La dinámica del taller fue en primera instancia intercambiar experiencias y analizar la participación actual y perspectivas de involucramiento de los diferentes grupos de actores forestales en la producción, transformación y comercialización de madera. En horas de la tarde, marcamos los objetivos de plantear y priorizar soluciones para mejorar el relacionamiento comercial entre comunidades y sector privado.
Edgar Poquiviqui, Jefe de la Unidad de Conservación y Biodiversidad manifestó su satisfacción al ver a todo un sector integrado, escuchar sus propias voces de los pueblos indígenas, comunidades, y los profesionales que ayudan en la gestión para la elaboración de planes de manejo. La autoridad remarcó que están buscando aunar esfuerzos para sacar a flote el sector.
Nicolás Fessi, responsable forestal del Concejo Indígena del Pueblo Tacana (CIPTA), expresó su agradecimiento por la invitación al taller, evento que le permitió identificar sus debilidades, fortalezas, amenazas como organizaciones forestales.

"Me parece interesante que en este taller se encuentran la ABT, autoridades nacionales, el colegio ingenieros forestales de Santa Cruz, estas son autoridades que ayudarán a diseñar mejor a donde debemos proyectarnos", resaltó Nicolás Fessi, responsable forestal del CIPTA.

Estanislao Gonzales, presidente de la Asociación de Artesanos Carpinteros de Santa Cruz manifestó: “Felicitamos a “IBIF” por la organización de este taller ya que pudimos conocer la problemática que atraviesa el sector productor de madera, también damos a conocer la problemática que pasamos los carpinteros para adquirir la madera, esperamos con el tiempo se pueda dar alianzas estratégicas de comercialización, ya que nos vamos con algunos contactos gracias al taller.”

Activity itinerary
The dynamics of the workshop were in the first instance toexchange experiences and analyze the current participationand perspectives of involvement of the different groups offorest actors in the production, processing andcommercialization of wood. In the afternoon, we set theobjectives of raising and prioritizing solutions to improve thecommercial relationship between communities and theprivate sector.
Edgar Poquiviqui, head of the Conservation and BiodiversityUnit, expressed his satisfaction at seeing an entire integratedsector, listening to his own voices from indigenous peoples,communities, and professionals who help in managing thedevelopment of plans for Management. The authorityremarked that they are seeking to join forces to get thesector afloat.
Nicolás Fessi, forestry officer of the Indigenous Council ofthe Pueblo TACAA (CIPTA), expressed his gratitude for theinvitation to the workshop, an event that allowed him toidentify his weaknesses, strengths, threats as forestryorganizations.

"I find it interesting that in this workshop are ABT, nationalauthorities, the College of Forestry engineers Santa Cruz,these are authorities that will help to design better where weproject," highlighted Nicolás Fessi, forestry manager of theCIPTA.

Estanislao Gonzales, President of the Association of ArtisansCarpenters of Santa Cruz said: "We congratulate" IBIF "forthe organization of this workshop and we could know theproblems that goes through the wood producing sector, wealso know the Problematic that we spent the carpenters toacquire the wood, we hope over time we can give strategicmarketing alliances, since we go with some contacts thanksto the workshop. "
